KinTrack
Support
KinTrack has no accounts to recover and no passwords to reset, so most questions are about pairing, restore codes and notifications. The answers are below; if yours is not, write to us and a person replies.
Contact us
Email is best. Include the household name and the member name shown in the app’s Settings screen so we can help quickly. We reply within two working days.
Common questions
How do I…
Move KinTrack to a new phone
Install KinTrack on the new phone, choose “Restore from a code” on the first screen and type the 12-character restore code from the old phone’s Settings → View Restore Code. The old phone is signed out automatically and a fresh code is issued to the new one.
Recover a lost restore code
Ask a Head Kin in your household to open Settings → Members and reset your restore code; a new one is generated and the old one stops working. A Head Kin who loses their own code can ask another Head Kin, or be invited again with a fresh QR code.
Fix a QR code that says it has expired
Invitations last 15 minutes. Ask the Head Kin to generate a new one from the Invite button on the home screen.
Get notifications working
Check that notifications are allowed for KinTrack in your phone’s settings, and that the Head Kin has the relevant alerts switched on under Settings → Notifications. Kins cannot change notification settings themselves — that is by design.
Change the language
Settings → Language on your own phone. Each device picks its own language; the household does not have to agree on one.
Remove a device or delete our data
A Head Kin removes any device from Settings → Members, and anyone can leave a household from Settings. To have remaining data erased, email us from the device concerned as described in the privacy policy; we complete requests within 30 days.
